Since the origins of Carpet making, there existed in rare examples a gorgeous thumbprint. Abrash is a term for the result of a complex, quietly sensitive coloration of yarns in a most basic setting, free of modern technology and styling. Nomadic tribes curiously teased their textiles with tinting, largely derived from plants, insects and earth particles. Their primitive, hands-on alchemy created Abrash, which is the capture of the thumbprint, within the scaled lineage frame which forms the Tzar Carpet. Each carpet is truly unique.
